Belgium vs Wales 16.11.2014 – European Qualifiers 2016

Belgium vs Wales 16.11.2014 – European Qualifiers 2016
Belgium vs. Wales / European Qualifiers 2016 – Two undefeated teams from this group will face each other in a situation when Belgium is third in the group but has played one match less, while Wales is the leader with two wins and a draw. Common to both of them is that they drew with Bosnia-Herzegovina but Belgium did that at home and they defeated Andorra, but Belgium did it with a better goal difference. Belgium on Wednesday played a friendly match, and they had played plenty of head-to-head before. They faced each other in the last qualifications too when Belgium won at home by 2-0, while in Brussels they drew 1-1 but at that point Belgium had already secured the first place in the group. Begins: 16.11.2014 – 18:00 CET

Belgium
The Belgians have played one match less and it spoils a bit their placement, but otherwise they haven’t done anything wrong so far. They outclassed Andorra, which was expected and won a valuable point in B-H. To compensate for the postponed match with Israel they played on Wednesday a friendly against Iceland, who in fact play similarly to Wales so it was a good test. It was a good match result wise, given that they won by 3-1.

It was not all easy but coach Wilmots had mixed the team and sent on the pitch a combination which will certainly not play against the Welsh. There were no captain Kompany in the defence, de Bruynea in the midfield , while Lukaku and Origi were not starters in the attack, who until now were the first choice for the offensive. Therefore, we should expect changes all over the team, with dilemmas about the right flank and the choice of strikers.

Probable lineups Belgium: Courtois – Alderweireld, Kompany, Lombaerts, Vertonghen – Witsel, Nainggolan – de Bruyne, E. Hazard – Origi

Wales
The Welsh can play without pressure this difficult away match, because they did a good job in the first three rounds. Now can only profit, if they manage to surprise, although they are aware that will be much more difficult to do than in the last match which they drew. The host were relaxed then and now they need to win, while Wales besides seven points didn’t impress much. They were even trailing behind Andorra in the first round and if the biggest stars of this team, Gareth Bale, wasn’t not there who knows how the match would end.

They drew with B-H at home and this is not a particularly good result, while they hardly defeated Cyprus. It must be said that from the beginning of the qualification they have problems with the team and are not complete, and will not be now. Again, there are no midfielders Ramsey and Ledley, stopper Chester and King, who is suspended because of the red card in the match against Cyprus, while on the other hand Allen is back in the team. Coach Coleman is therefore forced to make changes but Bale is ready, which is the most important at the moment.

Probable lineups Wales: Hennessey – Gunter, A. Williams, Collins, B. Davies – Allen, Collison, Bale, J. Williams, N. Taylor – Robson-Kanu

Belgium vs. Wales PICK
Belgium is too strong at the moment for Wales, even with Bale in the team. They need points in order to avoid complications and we believe that will win them without any problems. Home stadium and minimal problems with the players are sufficient for a clear victory.

Pick: Asian handicap -1.5 Belgium

Stake: 5/10

Odds: 1.83

Champions League betting tips matchday 4

We went 2/3 in matchday 3 with Manchester City the only side letting us down (and a very profitable trade was on at 2-0 and 2-1) and we went 3/3 in the Premier League this weekend. Is there a more reliable and profitable tipping service than ours?

The middle games of the Champions League group stage often start to split the group and give us an idea of who’s going through and who’s going home. This season is no different.

Here are our Champions League matchday 4 picks:

Arsenal vs Anderlecht
Arsenal left it late and made it dramatic in beating Anderlecht two weeks ago. We didn’t see any value in them then but we’re tipping them this week as they’re at home and have found their form.

The Gunners are on a three-game winning streak which includes two wins to nil and scoring seven goals since they last conceded.

Alexis Sanchez is very much in form and will be one of their difference makers in this match. The Chilean has scored four goals in his last two games since being moved into the middle.

This also allows Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to stay on the right wing where his pace and strength causes opponents problems. An under-utilised player this season but when he has played has been an effective player.

Danny Welbeck has gone three games without a goal but does have a hat-trick in this stadium from matchday 2. The striker should see some opportunities in this match.

Dennis Praet is Anderlecht’s biggest threat. Arsenal deployed two holding midfielders versus Burnley and I wonder if that was in preparation for this game. Surely the duo of Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini will be able to keep one player quiet.

Arsenal could qualify on Tuesday and we certainly expect them to win this game. The Belgian side just don’t have the personnel to compete with the Premier League side.

Best bet: Arsenal to win is 1.37 with Betfair

Borussia Dortmund vs Galatasaray
Borussia Dortmund were 4-0 winners in Turkey a fortnight ago and with the German Bundesliga already out of sight for Juergen Klopp’s side the Champions League has to become their number one priority from here on out.

The German side have most of their first team back from injury – Mats Hummels, Marco Reus and Ciro Immobile the notable players back and available.

Galatasaray are woeful travellers in the Champions League and have already been thrashed twice in three games in this group. Defeat will eliminate them from this season’s competition and we don’t expect them to pick up any points on Tuesday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could potentially be deployed up front to play the Danny Welbeck role that tore Galatasaray apart versus Arsenal. Marco Reus is a talented player capable of finding space and scoring opportunities too. Dortmund shouldn’t have any problems with that.

Dead cert: Borussia Dortmund to win is 1.27 with Betfair
Value bet: Borussia Dortmund -1.5 goals is 7/10 with Bet365

Real Madrid vs Liverpool
Real Madrid are on an impressive 11-game winning streak in which they have scored an incredible 46 goals. Only Ludogorets have held them to as little as a one-goal victory.

Liverpool were outclassed and thrashed 3-0 at the hands of Real Madrid two weeks ago even after the defending champions taking their foot off the gas in the second half.

Victory for Real Madrid would all but secure group victory after only four games.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez and Isco must frighten Liverpool fans with a defence that consists of Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno. The latter was at fault for Newcastle’s win on Saturday.

Excluding the League Cup victory over Swansea a week ago, Liverpool are winless and scoreless in their last three matches – held at home to Hull City and shut out by Newcastle.

Brendan Rodgers hasn’t got much right tactically this season and certainly doesn’t have the personnel to match up with the world’s best. This will be a comfortable home victory.

Dead cert: Real Madrid to win is 1.25 with Betfair
Best bet: Real Madrid to win -1.5 goals is 27/40 with Bet365

Manchester City vs CSKA Moscow
Before Manchester City sat back and allowed CSKA back into the game a fortnight ago, they had a comfortable 2-0 lead in freezing temperatures. They’re not going to allow that to happen again.

As shown in the first half of the first leg, City have the ability to beat this team. At home and in a must-win game, Manuel Pellegrini’s side aren’t going to be losing concentration this time.

Sergio Aguero is certainly a match winner – the Premier League’s top scorer and the Manchester derby hero is set to be the main man in this match. Yaya Toure is a threat for the middle of the park, whilst James Milner created a few opportunities from the wing at the weekend and even scored in Russia.

CSKA lost their top of the table clash at the weekend and their only point in this season’s Champions League group stage came versus Manchester City. Otherwise, they look too weak to compete with Europe’s elite.

Manchester City won’t throw away points on Wednesday.

Dead cert: Manchester City to win is 1.27 with Betfair
Value bet: Manchester City -1.5 goals is 7/10 with Bet365

Maribor vs Chelsea
Chelsea absolutely thrashed Maribor when they came to Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.

Jose Mourinho’s side have a big match at Liverpool in the Premier League three days after this so we’d expect the Portuguese manager to rest a number of key players in this one.

They didn’t have Diego Costa for the first meeting so that’s no big deal. Maribor didn’t pose a threat in that game so resting Thibaut Courtois and John Terry is fine. Eden Hazard, Oscar and Cesc Fabregas like to play every game too.

Regardless who plays for Chelsea they have so much talent in reserve this will be a comfortable win for them.

Mourinho will be hoping for a favour from Sporting Club when they take on Schalke 04 at the same time to give his side the chance to win the group in matchday 5.
