Austria Vienna vs Rijeka: Preview and Predictions

Austria Vienna suffered a 1-5 disaster against Milan on the opening day, but they bounced back with a massive point from the Greek capital to return in the contest for the second position in the Group D.

The Austrians could make a major step towards getting there this Thursday when they host the last-placed Rijeka at Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

Austria Vienna

Thorsten Fink’s side backed up the point against AEK with a clean sheet win over Rheindorf Altach in the domestic league, but the last weekend saw them suffering a 3-0 defeat in the derby with Bundesliga leaders Sturm Graz on the road.

The midfielder Raphael Holzhauser and the striker Kevin Friesenbichler will be the biggest threat to Rijeka’s goal with 11 goals combined across competitions so far.

Rijeka

The Croats were on the brink of stunning Milan at San Siro two weeks ago, but the 94th-minute goal from Patrick Cutrone annulled their effort of coming back from two down earlier on.

The team led by Matjaz Kek is still looking for their first points in the campaign and the weekend’s domestic defeat at bottom-half Istra 1961 will not do much on improving the confidence ahead of an important trip to the Austrian capital.
Austria Vienna vs Rijeka: Head to head

This will be the first ever head to head meeting between the two sides.
Austria Vienna vs Rijeka: Prediction

We fancy Austria Vienna not to lose the match at the odds of 8/15 given that they have a much greater experience in playing strong matches at the highest level compared to Rijeka.
Austria Vienna vs Rijeka: Bets

The main bet is Austria Vienna or Draw Double Chance at 1.53.

Braver tipsters can take Austria Vienna to win the match at 2.70.

Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Belgium: Preview and Predictions

Belgium are one of rare European teams to have already secured the top spot in their respective group and the direct qualification for the World Cup in Russia 2018.
The Red Devils will thus travel to Sarajevo to take on Bosnia-Herzegovina in the penultimate 9th round of the competition without significant ambitions, but they are still favourites with all of theirs tars in a fantastic shape.

Bosnia-Herzegovina

The Dragons, on the other side, are desperate to pick up the victory which would keep them in the battle for the second position and the playoffs.

Mehmed Bazdarevic and his men missed out on a huge opportunity to finish the job earlier when they dropped a two-goal cushion against Cyprus to lose the match 3-2 at the end a month ago.

The hosts will be handicapped without one of their best players Miralem Pjanic who is sidelined, but the good news is a promising form for their top scorer Edin Dzeko who bagged a fabulous goal in Roma’s away win at Milan last weekend.

Belgium

The visitors collected 22 points from eight matches and they actually helped the Bosnians by beating Greece away from home in September thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s late goal.

Man United’s striker has been enjoying a spell of excellent form at the start of the season and he notched four goals in last three matches.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Belgium: Head to head

The head to head tie is all square at three wins for each of the sides, but Belgium were much more successful in last two clashes with Bosnia (3-1 and 4-0).

Eden Hazard, Toby Alderweireld and Romelu Lukaku were on target in a demolishing victory for the Red Devils at the start of the qualifying campaign at Stade Roi Baudouin.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Belgium: Prediction

Even though Bosnia will have a much greater motive, we’ll stick to Belgian quality and back the Red Devils to pick up another victory at the odds of 11/8.

You can also take Romelu Lukaku to score anytime at 6/4.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Belgium: Bets

The first bet is Belgium to win & BTTS at the odds of 7/2

You can also try with Romelu Lukaku to score anytime at 6/4

Montenegro v Denmark: Preview and Predictions

Montenegro will host Denmark in the crucial qualifying match for both sides on Thursday evening at Stadion Pod Goricom.
The sides are all levelled at 16 points each with two games left to play, but the draw would mean goodbye to the World Cup ambitions for both sides because of the second-ranked teams’ standings.

Montenegro

The Serbian manager Ljubisa Tumbakovic can be satisfied with his team’s form ahead of the final two games of the campaign as Montenegro notched three consecutive victories to stay in the contest for the second position in the Group E.

Stevan Jovetic has been enjoying a phenomenal form ever since the start of the campaign (seven goals so far) and he was the one who secured three golden points against Romania in the previous round (1-0 victory).

Denmark

The visitors were off to a poor kick off to their qualifying run, but they will come into the game in Podgorica in high spirits after netting eight goals past Denmark and Armenia in September.

Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen is the key man in this generation, but Age Hareide has plenty of other attacking options in the likes of Kasper Dolberg, Nicklas Bendtner, Pione Sisto etc.
Montenegro vs Denmark: Head to head

Montenegro stunned Denmark in the first match between the two sides played a year ago when Fatos Beqiraj’s 31st minute goal (after a beautiful pass from Jovetic) made all the difference.

The Brave Falcons showed a phenomenal defense at Telia Parken and they will want to build on that display on Thursday as well.
Montenegro vs Denmark: Prediction

Denmark are in a much better attacking form now and they are the favourites here, but we generally expect to witness a low-scoring contest with very few goal-scoring chances on both ends.
Montenegro vs Denmark: Bets

The main pick is Under 2.5 goals FT at the odds of 7/10

You can also back the Under 0.5 goals in the first half pick

Shamrock vs Mlada Boleslav

Shamrock Rovers did to progress to the second qualifying round of Europa League after two narrow victories over Icelandic side Stjarnan. Firstly they won away from home, thanks to only goal scored in 38th minute via Shaw, but it needs to be said that it was fully deserved victory for the visitors who looked way more serious and dangerous during the whole game, especially in the first halftime.

Second game looked more open minded and attacking one, simply since the visiting side had to play that way, however once the hosts took the lead in 20th minute via Burke, they stood well in the defensive part of the field and didn't have problems progressing further. As for the domestic league, they are at fourth position now after twenty rounds played, with just a point less than third and Europa League placed Bray.

Mlada Boleslav had a decent previous season in domestic competitions, as the team finished their 1. Liga at fourth position, having eight points less than third placed Sparta Prague and just a point more than Teplice, however they also did well to reach the semi-finals of the domestic Cup competition where they got excluded to Opava late in April.

They had plenty of friendly matches ahead of the start of the season, firstly losing to Varnsdorf and Hradec Kralove, while they later on won over Apollon and lost to Russian side Rostov. In last preparational game, the team won over Sturm Graz 2:1 last Thursday evening. They are taking part in Europa League qualifiers for fourth season in a row now, being previously elemited by Lyon, Stromsgodset and Shkendija, being determined to change the things around and improve their image in Europe.

Mlada Boleslav surely is a more quality side here and should progress further, however with Shamrock's players being in a fully competitive form now, I'm quite convinced they will be able to give them a really good match trying to stay undefeated. Having that in mind, it's probable that the Czechs do get the victory, however without staying with a clean sheet in my opinion.

Real Betis vs Villarreal: Preview and Predictions

Real Betis vs Villarreal
Spanish La Liga
Date: Tuesday, 4th March 2017
Kick-off at 20:30 UK / 21:30 CET
Venue: Estadio Benito Villamarin (Sevilla).

Villarreal are in search for some inspiration as they prepare for a difficult trip to visit Estadio Benito Villamarin to face Real Betis for Tuesday’s Spanish La Liga clash. Meanwhile, Betis count on the home advantage to accumulate valuable points to move away from the relegation zone.
Real Betis

Betis dropped 1 spot in the league table and moved to 14th after their 1-2 away defeat at Espanyol on Saturday. They have a 9 point cushion over the relegation zone, but safety is far from guaranteed at the moment.

Their recent form is poor after managing just 2 wins from the last 12 matches, with 4 draws, 6 losses. The wins during the period came against extremely poor teams – Osasuna and Malaga.
Villarreal CF

They Yellow Submarines squandered a goal lead and fell to a 2-3 defeat at home to Eibar on the weekend, to suffer their first back-to-back league defeat since November.

The poor run has already done damages to their Europa League qualification hopes. They are 6th in the table, the last Europa League spot with three teams below them at a 5 point gap.

Villarreal had done pretty well in away games so far this season. They were beaten thrice from the 14 games so far and picked up 5 wins and 5 draws to become the 6th best away side in the league. Their defense has been water tight and let in just 8 goals during the period.
Real Betis vs Villarreal: Head-to-head

The Yellow Submarines earned a 2-0 win when the teams met at the Estadio de la Ceramica for the La Liga clash early this season.

Villarreal can boast of a four match unbeaten run against Betis, but the three matches down the line are draws.

Betis are unbeaten in the latest four home games against Villarreal with 2 wins and 2 draws. But the Yellow Submarines had 2 wins and a draw from the previous three.
Real Betis vs Villarreal: Prediction

This can be seen as a match between two teams in poor shape at the moment, despite their position at the opposite end of the table.

Villarreal’s main strength is their defense, which is now getting breached with much ease. Real Betis are capable of scoring goals at home and failed just twice in to do so in the last 11 games. Meanwhile, they have seven cleans sheets during the period. This could be a home win, piling further pressure on Villarreal in their race for European football.
